Ready for the grill.

Add some flair to your next cookout with this smokey, cedar flavored salmon. Vegetables also taste delicious grilled on a plank.

1 lb salmon fillet (with skin on)
lemon-juice from 1/2 lemon
a generous dash of salt
pinch of pepper
2-3 pats of butter (optional)
herbs-shown with thyme.  You can also use dill, parsley, chives, or a combination.

Soak the cedar board for 1.5-3 hours-the longer the better.

Place the salmon on the soaked cedar plank, skin side down and squeeze juice from 1/2 a lemon all over the fillet.  Sprinkle with salt, pepper and desired herbs.

Place your loaded plank on the medium pre-heated grill.  Grill for 10-12 minutes at this temperature until your fish reaches an internal temperature 145° minimum or up to 155°.  If you do not have a thermometer then be sure the fish is opaque in color and flaky.
