This is a simple recipe for authentic pizza sauce. It’s easy to make a double or triple batch and have friends over for a casual create your own pizza party.
Smother this sauce on pizza dough, a bagel, french bread, any bread really and topple with your favorite vegetables, meats and herbs! Toss it on a medium-high grill or in a 375 degree oven and bake until desired crispiness of crust is reached! Best to allow for 20ish minutes per “batch”.
1-15 oz can tomato sauce
1-6 oz can tomato paste
2-3 cloves of garlic-minced or pressed
3/4 tsp oregano
1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2-3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
pizza dough, bread, rolls or english muffins work as a pizza base
